Maryland man sentenced to prison for sexually exploiting a minor after meeting on Facebook social network

BALTIMORE – A Owings Mills, Md., man was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting a minor to produce child pornography, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Baltimore County Police Department. View of 2012 Venus Transit Over a six-hour period on June 5-6 2012, the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) collected images in many wavelengths of one of the rarest predictable solar events: the transit of Venus across the face of the sun. Denver Man Charged with Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

DENVER
Jon Christopher Baker, age 32, of Denver, Colorado, was charged by Criminal Complaint yesterday with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography U.S. Attorney John Walsh and FBI Denver Field Division Special Agent in Charge James Yacone announced. Baker made his initial appearance yesterday, where he was advised of the charges pending against him, and the penalties associated with those charges. He is due back in court on Thursday, May 3, 2012, for a preliminary hearing and detention hearing.

Man Sentenced To Serve 236 Months in Federal Prison for Sex Trafficking of Children

United States Attorney Laura E. Duffy announced that Jonathan Jamar Sanders was sentenced today by United States District Court Judge Dana M. Sabraw to serve 236 months in federal prison, followed by seven years of supervised release, and ordered mandatory registration under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. Sanders pled guilty less than a week before the scheduled date for his jury trial in January 2012.

Manalapan, N.J., Woman Pleads Guilty to Sexually Abusing Girl, Streaming Assault Live Over the Internet

WASHINGTON
A Manalapan, N.J., woman pleaded guilty today to producing child pornography by sexually abusing a five-year-old girl on more than one occasion and streaming footage of a sexual assault over the Internet, Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced. Jennifer Mahoney, 33, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child. She entered her guilty plea in Trenton, N.J., federal court before U.S. District Judge Mary L. Cooper.

Former Navy Seaman Convicted in Child Pornography Case

WASHINGTON
Former U.S. Navy Seaman James Driver, 24, of Midland, Mich., was convicted today by a federal jury in the Eastern District of Michigan on one count of possession of child pornography, announced Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division.

Tucson Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Viewing Child Pornography

TUCSON, Ariz
Today, Karl Modderman, 47, of Tucson, Ariz. was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Raner C. Collins to 120 months in federal prison for viewing child pornography. Modderman pleaded guilty on March 13, 2012, to knowing access of child pornography. Modderman’s prison term will be followed by lifetime supervised release, with stringent sex offender conditions, including the condition that he register as a sex offender..

Canadian Man Pleads Guilty To Receiving Child Pornography In Jacksonville

 Jacksonville, Florida - Christian Yvon Lapierre (46, a Canadian citizen residing in Jacksonville) pled guilty in U.S. District Court today to receiving child pornography over the internet. Lapierre faces a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 5 years and up to 20 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and a potential life term of supervised release.

Wisconsin Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Exploitation of a Minor in Belize

A Wisconsin man pleaded guilty today in federal court in Milwaukee to traveling in foreign commerce and engaging in and attempting to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, announced Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division; U.S. Attorney James L. Santelle of the Eastern District of Wisconsin; John Morton, Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); and Scott Bultrowicz, Director of the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS).

Indianapolis: Man Sentenced to 115 Years for Production, Distribution of Child Pornography

 INDIANAPOLIS

Joseph H. Hogsett, the United States Attorney, announced today that Larry Everett Hodge, age 47, of Evansville, was sentenced to 115 years in prison this afternoon by Chief U.S. District Judge Richard L. Young. This follows Hodge’s December 8, 2011 guilty plea to the following charges: seven counts of production of sexually explicit material involving minors; two counts of conspiracy to produce sexually explicit material involving minors; and two counts of distribution of sexually explicit material involving minors.
