Law Enforcement Holds Press Conference Announcing Arrest in Alexis Murphy Case

Commonwealth Attorney (CA) of Nelson County Anthony Martin; Sheriff David Brooks, Nelson County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office; Colonel Steven Flaherty, Virginia State Police; and Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Jeffrey Mazanec, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that Randy Allen Taylor was arrested yesterday and charged with abduction in the disappearance of Alexis Tiara Murphy.

Missouri man sentenced to 70 years in federal prison for producing child pornography

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A northwestern Missouri man was sentenced in federal court Tuesday to 70 years in federal prison for producing and possessing more than a thousand images of child pornography.

This sentence resulted from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), with the assistance of the U.S. Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI), and the Gentry County, Mo., Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Dale Wiederholt, 35, of Stanberry, Mo., was sentenced to 840 months in federal prison without the possibility of parole.

Wiederholt pleaded guilty Oct. 16, 2012 to one count of attempting to produce child pornography, one count of transporting child pornography, and one count of receiving child pornography.

Minnesota man sentenced to 5 years for receiving child pornography

 MINNEAPOLIS – A southern Minnesota man was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to five years in federal prison for receiving child pornography.

This sentence resulted from a criminal investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in cooperation with the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, and the Minneapolis Police Department.

LUBBOCK, Texas — A man formerly from west Texas pleaded guilty Thursday before U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings to a superseding indictment charging one count of attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.

This guilty plea was announced by U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas. This investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Kenton County (Kentucky) Police Department.

Missouri man sentenced to 12 years in prison for receiving child pornography

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A south central Missouri man was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to 12 years in prison for receiving child pornography.

This sentence resulted from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); in cooperation with the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force (SWMCCTF); the Cassville, Mo., Police Department; and the Howell County, Mo., Sheriff's Department.

Long Beach mother and son charged federally with sex trafficking teenage girl

LOS ANGELES — A Long Beach man and his mother are expected to appear in federal court Thursday following their indictment for allegedly working together to prostitute a local runaway beginning when the girl was only 15.

Joshua Jerome Davis, 22, and his mother, Sharilyn Kae Anderson, 45, are charged in a five-count indictment handed down by a federal grand jury Thursday with child sex trafficking; coercion and enticement of a minor; transporting a minor; and aiding and abetting. 

The sex trafficking of a child by force carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years. The indictment also charges the mother and son with prostituting a second victim, an adult, through the use of force, fraud and coercion. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.

Alabama man sentenced to 121 months for using Internet to entice minor

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – An Alabama man was sentenced Wednesday to 121 months in federal prison for using the Internet in an attempt to persuade, induce and entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. This case was investigated by the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the U.S. Marshals Service, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the Gainesville Police Department.
