CBP Officers in Southern Arizona Seize Meth, Heroin Valued at $529,000

. – Two men were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in separate incidents yesterday for attempting to smuggle methamphetamine and heroin into the United States.

Chicago Canine Enforcement Officer Joseph Jablonski and partner Rogue search for parcels with illegal narcotics at the Chicago International Mail Branch near O’Hare Airport.

 

Chicago – Chicago U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the CBP International Mail Facility, near O’Hare International Airport, recently seized two shipments of opium saturated cloth items from Laos. On September 11, CBP canine Rogue alerted to these imported parcels containing decorative narcotic laden materials weighing more than 28 pounds and valued at $302,000.

CBP Officers at Hidalgo Arrest Reynosa Man with $1M Worth of Cocaine

Hidalgo, Texas — U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge arrested a man from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico with cocaine valued at just over $1 million on Saturday. In a separate, unrelated, incident, at the Roma Port of Entry, CBP officers arrested a Mexican national who was in possession of a .45-caliber handgun.

Laredo West Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol Agents Seize 3,000 Pounds of Marijuana

Laredo, Texas – On August 30, U.S. Customs and Border Protection U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo West Station seized 3,108 pounds of marijuana at the Laredo West Checkpoint located at Texas Highway 83. While CBP U.S. Border Patrol agents were conducting an immigration inspection of the tractor-trailer, a service canine alerted to possible hidden people or hidden contraband. The tractor-trailer was sent to secondary for further inspection.

San Juan CBP Finds 3 Cocaine-Filled Duffel Bags Inside Container

San Juan, Puerto Rico - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized last night three duffel bags filled with 70 cocaine bricks found inside a container arriving to the Port of San Juan from the Dominican Republic.  
The bags were found during inbound scanning inspection of containers on board M/V BUXFAVOURITE arriving from the Dominican Republic. The container, laden with plastic parts in the United Kingdom, is destined for Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Miami: Hialeah Gardens Police Department Detective Sentenced in Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Marijuana

Miami: Wifredo A. Ferrer, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida; Michael B. Steinbach, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Miami Field Office; Mark R. U.S. Border Patrol Agents Seize More Than 4,112 Pounds of Marijuana

Laredo, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents seized more than 4,112 pounds of marijuana in five cases that occurred over the weekend. Agents assigned to the Laredo North station are credited with making the larger of the seizures. The case occurred as agents were working at the Interstate Highway 35 checkpoint. Agents performed an immigration inspection on the driver of a tractor-trailer; a Border Patrol canine team detected the possible presence of hidden contraband or people.
