Border Patrol Agents Nab $2.15 Million in Marijuana

CBP agents and air assets discovered three vehicles hidden under tarps concealed in the dense brush with multiple bundles of marijuana inside.Tucson, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents seized more than 4,311 pounds of marijuana Tuesday west of Sells, Ariz., worth an estimated $2.15 million.

Casa Grande Station agents working in collaboration with CBP Office of Air and Marine air assets from the Tucson Air Branch discovered two vehicles, a Chevy truck, and an H2 Hummer, hidden under tarps concealed in the dense brush with multiple bundles of marijuana inside.

A short time later, agents and Air and Marine air assets also working west of Sells, responded to reports of suspected narcotics smuggling and discovered an abandoned Dodge pick-up concealed in brush under a tarp with multiple bundles of marijuana inside.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers Seize Nearly $500,000 in Cocaine at Brownsville Port of Entry

Brownsville, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Gateway and Brownsville Bridge intercepted a load of alleged cocaine. CBP officers discovered the alleged cocaine, valued at approximately $496,000, hidden within a Chrysler Sebring.

CBP Officers Intercept Inventive Smuggling Attempts at Imperial Valley Ports

Imperial Valley, Calif. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Imperial Valley ports of entry over the weekend intercepted $1,762,400 worth of cocaine, $316,000 worth of methamphetamine, and $296,010 in undeclared currency during four separate smuggling attempts.

The first incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6th, when a CBP canine team at the Calexico East port of entry was screening vehicles as they waited in line for inspection. The team’s detector dog alerted to a 2004 Ford Expedition and officers referred the vehicle and driver, a 37-year-old female U.S. citizen, for a more in-depth inspection.

CBP Officers Find $1.3 Million Worth of Cocaine in Spare Tire and Tool Box




Otay Mesa, Calif. —
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Otay Mesa port of entry yesterday discovered $1.3 million worth of cocaine concealed in the spare tire and in the tool box of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. 

On September 10, at about 5 a.m., a CBP officer and his canine were screening vehicles as the occupants waited in line for inspection, when the detector dog alerted to the spare tire of the white F-150 pickup. Officers escorted the driver, a 28-year-old male, and the vehicle for a more in-depth investigation.

Nogales CBP Officers Seize Nearly $800K in Meth




Nogales, Ariz. —
Two Mexican men were arrested Saturday at the Port of Nogales for attempting to smuggle more than 51 pounds of methamphetamine into the United States in separate incidents.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Adan Segoviano-Gutierrez, 34, for an additional inspection of his GMC truck at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry.

Nogales CBP Officers Seize more than $77K in Meth





Nogales, Ariz
. — A Nogales, Sonora, Mexico man was arrested Thursday at the Port of Nogales for attempting to smuggle more than five pounds of methamphetamine into the United States. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred the 21-year-old Mexican national for an additional inspection of his Dodge truck at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry.

Nogales CBP Officers Seize More Than $2.2 Million in Drugs

 Nogales, Ariz. — Six people were arrested recently in multiple smuggling attempts here involving area residents and Mexican nationals. 
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Nogales seized marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine in a five-day period that, when combined, grossed more than $2.2 million in value.

Pharr, Texas —Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Pharr International Bridge arrested a man from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in connection with a foiled smuggling attempt of cocaine worth approximately $1,871,000.
